Sundrenched soft sand, scintillating surf, bronzed bodies, delectable dining; expect to find all this and more at Bondi Beach, one of Australia’s most iconic shorelines.
Getting to Bondi
The beach is within easy reach of the city centre and can be accessed via bus or train from the Town Hall Station. Only around a 20 minute drive from Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments, Bondi can also be visited on Big Bus Tours.
Beachside Bliss
Around a kilometre long, Bondi Beach is the perfect place for the three “S” essentials; sunbathing, swimming and surfing! You can also enjoy a beachside stroll, savour fish and chips on the shore and take in a magical sunset. While the beach can get crowded, staying at a nearby Sydney Darling Harbour hotel helps since you can plan and get there early.
But Wait, There’s More!
Bondi Beach offers way more than just an idyllic coastline and here are some of the other things you can do:
• Head off along the scenic Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk
• Swim at the Bondi Icebergs pool by the ocean
• Skateboard at the Bondi Skate Park
• Take in some art at the Bondi Pavilion
• Visit the Bondi Farmers Market (Saturday) and the Bondi Markets (Sunday)
Dining & Shopping
Bondi has also become a foodie favourite and you will find plenty of charming cafés, bars and restaurants to choose from especially along Campbell Parade and Hall Street. For some retail therapy head to Gould Street which is particularly popular with fashionistas.
