JBR Beyond the Beach – A Guide to The Walk and Waterfront
Jumeirah Beach Residence, or JBR, is one of Dubai’s most popular areas. Most people come for the beach, and it’s easy to see why. But there’s a lot more to enjoy once you step off the sand.
Strolling The Walk
The Walk is a long, open promenade lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants. It’s great for a slow walk at any time of day, but it’s best in the evening when the air is cooler. You’ll find street performers and a lively, friendly feel.
Staying in the Middle of It All

JBR Dubai hotels put everything right on your doorstep. Consider a stay at JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai, right on The Walk, facing the beach. Staying in this area means that you can head out for a swim, a meal, or an evening stroll in just a few steps.
The Beach at JBR
Right next to The Walk is The Beach, an outdoor area with more places to eat, shop, and relax. There’s also an outdoor cinema and space for children to play. It’s a good spot to spend a few hours without needing to plan much.
Water Sports and Waterfront Views
The sea at JBR is calm and great for water sports. You can try stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, or a boat trip along the coast. Bluewaters Island is just across the bridge, with even more restaurants and sea views. Take your time, explore on foot, and you’ll soon see that JBR is about much more than its beach.
