Getting to the Coast
The journey to the south takes around 2 and a half hours from Colombo, with popular options including the highway bus and private transfers. Alternatively, non-highway buses and trains offer a slower, but more scenic, journey.
Travelling Around the Coast
Once you’ve made it, it won’t be too difficult to travel across destinations. Places to visit down south in Sri Lanka aren’t spaced too far apart, and taking the public bus offers the cheapest option for transport.
