In Sri Lanka, there are many great surfing spots and the most famous one is Arugam Bay. Apart from that, the other great and well-known surfing spot is ‘Mirissa’ that you absolutely can’t miss out on, especially if you visit down South.

The surf spot is on the right end of the beach and it’s easy to find. To simplify the task further, you don’t have to go to the last lineup to catch waves as it’s a point reef break and there are many inner ones that you can catch.
Tips for you
With rolling waves, surfing in Mirissa is always fun and exciting at the same time. Get around the big rock you find before the surfing spot and when you get out of the water, always remember not to go to the right (where they have the fish wooden pole)
When the surf is not up…
Mirissa water sports do not stop at surfing. It is also a great spot for snorkelling, fishing and also dolphin and whale watching during November and April
